Today’s topic is red door and vine red roses in watercolor. I really love to paint the vine roses in oil painting. I have painted so many artworks in rose material with oil. Some are I am keeping in my studio, some are in another’s possession. In this video today as well, we will learn how to describe the light and shadow of flowers on the wall. Someone asked me what color I apply for the shadow. I use the some kind of purple color which was generated from mixing ultramarine and magenta.
Today I am gonna apply cobalt turquoise and ultramarine deep on the shadow.
And especially I will use a nail and palette knife to scratch on the door for looking more natural. Let me show you how to use nail and palette knife.
COLOR: scarlet lake, crimson lake, cobalt turquoise, ultramarine deep.
PAPER: I tried today the Strechmore Cold Pressed Watercolor Paper
I usually used Arches, Fabriano paper cold pressed 140 lb.
I think the painting output can be a little bit different because
of difference in character of each paper.
BRUSH: Davinci 5 cosmotop Mix B, Davinci 3 petit gris pur.
Mozart Supplies 4.
Thank you and enjoy the video.
