Cooper FX Outward V2 – so much more than a pedal
An ambient machine
A granular delay
A sampling device
An instrument it's own – soundscapes, for true expression and textures
Degrade your sound, unravel and distort.
The Outward V2 can be used as a tool for sound design or a simple pedal. It does a lot – but at it's core, it's a granular looper.

It takes segments of your sound, holds on them, chops them, stretches them and makes them whole again. A cruel little wizard – with a heart of gold.
Three essential modes are indicated via three LED-lights: S = smooth, C = choppy, TS = Timestretching.
Use smooth to create larger than life notes – a reverb wash for ambient soundscapes
Choppy shows off the sharp granular edge within the Outward V2.
Timestretching creates random delay tones.
SPD / SNS sets the amount of stretching and can lobotomize your playing. Via SIZE, you can deicide large you want your grains to be. And PIT/DIR is responsible for the direction of the audio.
All three pots have an alternate mode, that can be accessed via pressing and holding down the ALT-Knob. Those secondary modes are vast, but the secret weapon of the Outward V2 is the little Clock Knob.
It adjusts the amount of the DSP chip in a range between 10 and 60 kHz. It can stretch your recording time, make your signal noisier, give it that nostalgic vinyl feel.
Choppy, Smooth and Timestretching are making up eight modes altogether, that can be accessed via the PRS Knob.
Random freeze modes, envelope triggered or via Footswitch, are where the fun is at.
